~ Growing In Unity: Day 4 ~

A little late in posting but it has been a maniac day today. Anyway, today's offering is based on the theme of 7 Deadly Sins. I've been wanting to do something like that and I created each sin on a tag but with a modern twist, using Unity stamps of course!

7 Deadly sins from top left: Anger, Sloth, Envy
Bottom left: Pride, Gluttony, Lust, Greed
I gave a modern twist to it. Base of tags done using Tim Holtz distressed inkpads and spritz with water to give it a mottled, weathered look.

Words created using {ippity} alphabet stamps.

Here are the tags closeup with more details:

First deadly sin: Anger
I chose skull to signify the theme.
Stamp sets used: Confession stamp image in background from I {luv} Unity set, ticket image from Le Chic Vintage and skull from Pirate Madness

2nd deadly sin: Envy
It relates to the eyes doesn't it, so hence this li'l cute monster with one eye.
Stamp sets used: Monster & sentiment from Cuter than Most

3rd deadly sin: Gluttony
I could have used a lot of food images but I especially luv this gumball image... in the eye of a child, scoffing tons of that would be gluttony!
Stamp sets used: background image from Going Retro, 'yummy' from Retro Barbeque and gumball from Mar10 KOTM.

4th deadly sin: Greed
Who doesn't want it all?
Stamp set used: Treasure to Me

5th deadly sin: Lust
The image of an incandescent tryst suddenly appealed to me.
Stamp set used: 'sun' from Jul09 KOTM, 'couple' & 'grass' from Jan10 store kit.

6th deadly sin: Pride
This had me stumped but I figured one does take pride in cooking so hence the kitchen theme!
Stamp set used: Kitchen Logic, 'leaves' in background from Bevy of Butterflies.

7th deadly sin: Sloth
Well, this was easy... lazing on the sofa!
Stamp set used: Comfy Cozy

Doing these tags certainly stretched my imagination. Definitely had fun and even broke into stamp sets that I've not used yet!  Definitely be doing another series of tags again but based on a different theme! TTFN!
