~ 365 Cards Blog Hop ~

Welcome to 365 Cards blog hop.

The team was given a challenge for this blog hop. Before that, we were sent a package to play with. The theme was to make a card that represents my style. Now I had to scratch my head as my style has changed tremendously over the past few years. Firstly, I switched from being a paper scrapper/card maker to a digital one i.e. I rather print out digital images and create my card as opposed to using physical papers and embellishments. So when I saw what was in the package, I had to think real hard how to use them. I decided that I would use them as I saw fit. I was glad that I had washi tape and twine in the package. I knew I was going to play with them as those are my favourite items. After a good hour or so, I came up with this card:

Here's what I did. With the washi tape, I tore strips up and laid them on the card stock. Then I punched out a border and laid it in the centre. The centre piece with the word 'LIFE' was cut out from a piece of paper. Added a bit of embellishment and I'm done. Left the sentiment on the cloud blank (for future use...)

I certainly enjoyed what I did although it was hard work as I'm so used to creating my card digitally for print out and to assemble them altogether. It's easier to see the finished product on a laptop than to try and imagine it. Not to mention once you cut up papers, that's it! It's gone! Digital papers are much easier to play with!

Today's challenge is called 'Throw Back'. Basically think back when I started papercrafting and use a trend from there. Well, when I started card making in particular, I was introduced to stamping. I fell in love with it and started an enormous collection of stamps (which I hardly touch now!!!) I was also interested in mixed media and came across the Zettiology dolls and got myself a few of them. So my card combined both of them!

Today's challenge is 'A Matter of Twinches'.  Basically have four 2x2" on the card with similar themes. I wasn't sure what twincies are but a check on the net showed me samples and here's my card:

Recently bought a new kit from Rosey Posey, You Are Unique and I couldn't wait to use it. The card was easy to create using the various elements and I fulfilled the similar theme. This card was be sent to my SIL for her birthday. TTFN!
