~ SAS: Color Play 16 ~

Scrap Art Studio designers came up with an amazing Color Play 16 kits based on this palette:

As usual, I had a whale of a time playing with the kits based on Christmas theme. They will certainly come in handy for my December journals. Here are some of the pages:

 Using T For Me's kit

 Using Courtney's Digiscrappin's kit

Using all the designers' kits

 Using Angie Young's kit

 Using Vicki's Robinson's kit

Using Les Idees de Christine's kit

The kits can be purchased from SAS store here. Luv the colour scheme and I can see myself using it over and over again! TTFN!

~ 365 Cards Blog Hop ~

Welcome to 365 Cards blog hop.

The team was given a challenge for this blog hop. Before that, we were sent a package to play with. The theme was to make a card that represents my style. Now I had to scratch my head as my style has changed tremendously over the past few years. Firstly, I switched from being a paper scrapper/card maker to a digital one i.e. I rather print out digital images and create my card as opposed to using physical papers and embellishments. So when I saw what was in the package, I had to think real hard how to use them. I decided that I would use them as I saw fit. I was glad that I had washi tape and twine in the package. I knew I was going to play with them as those are my favourite items. After a good hour or so, I came up with this card:

Here's what I did. With the washi tape, I tore strips up and laid them on the card stock. Then I punched out a border and laid it in the centre. The centre piece with the word 'LIFE' was cut out from a piece of paper. Added a bit of embellishment and I'm done. Left the sentiment on the cloud blank (for future use...)

I certainly enjoyed what I did although it was hard work as I'm so used to creating my card digitally for print out and to assemble them altogether. It's easier to see the finished product on a laptop than to try and imagine it. Not to mention once you cut up papers, that's it! It's gone! Digital papers are much easier to play with!

For a chance to win a package of goodies from Pam, just leave a comment about how do you go about creating your card? Do you sketch it first? Or do you make use of sketches. Or do a particular embellishment dictate how you card would look like? Or maybe it's a particular paper?

Enjoy the rest of your blog hop. Your next stop is Carla. Have a great weekend! TTFN!

~ Happy Halloween! ~

An American tradition which is fast being adopted by the British, judging by the number of halloween costumes, halloween decorations etc. being sold in stores. I did get some sweets ready but sadly, no one came to trick or treat at my place. Oh well, looks like my son will be one happy boy!

Hubby did carve the pumpkin and we had it lighted all night. He made pumpkin soup with what he scraped out.

Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it! TTFN!

~ OS X Mavericks ~

My Macbook alerted me to the latest operating system, Mavericks. After checking the reviews (mostly favourable) on the App store, I downloaded it. Did I say it was free!!! Then, after backuping my Mac, I went ahead and download. The entire process was simple. I downloaded just before having dinner, came back to it ready for me to install. Installation took about 45 mins.

What's new? The OS added a iBook & Maps icons at the bottom. Calendar had a different look. In Finder, you can now tag folders and files (probably need to learn how to use it effectively).

The good thing about Mavericks is that it has sorted out my Adobe Bridge! I was having problems accessing images in Mini Bridge but not anymore.

I'm looking forward to exploring more of the new OS. So far, I'm loving it and it has actually freed up more hard disk space for me! Yay! TTFN!

~ Summer Vacation 2013 Album Part 2 ~

The last few weeks I made a conscious effort to get my summer pages done. Glad to say that I'm nearly done, got about 5 more pages to complete! Here are the rest that I've done:

All these pages were done using Anna Aspnes' products. I made use of her templates in all the pages as it's just so easy to put the photos in and add papers instead of doing a page from scratch! Obviously I had to adjust it from a 12x12 template to an A4 size.

Just noticed there are some gaps in the dates. Will have to check and see if there is anything scrap worthy for a page! I know for sure that my 6 weeks in Singapore was full of activities for most days as I made sure I did something. There were a few chill out days in between too. I really enjoyed doing these pages and I do relive the memories of my stay there. Can't wait to see them in a Photobook! TTFN!
