~ Chronicles 52 ~

My version of Project Life. I know the name has been so liberally used to denote documentation of every day, 52 weeks of life etc. It has appeared on kits and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon creating paper & elements for use in documenting Project Life. Well, this year, I decided to take part, digitally of course! However, I wanted to call it something different (just in case the name Project Life gets patent!) I went with Chronicle as it has a nice ring to it! After checking out the printing cost in the UK, it appears doing it in a square format wouldn't be feasible... it would be far too expensive to print. Square pages aren't common or popular here and you don't get as much discount as printing in A4 format. So with that in mind, I started doing mine in A4 landscape format. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I started out slow and have got a few weeks to catch up. This project has certainly made me remember to take a photo a day if possible. However, I'm not fussed if I didn't as there are days whereby I may have more than one photo to display! Without further ado, here goes...

Now that I've started, I feel compelled to continue and finish. Saying that, I still have my Dec Daily album to complete as well as my Art Journal Caravan too. Yup, got way too many projects ongoing but  that will keep me busy!

For this project, I'll be using lots of journaling cards as well as brushes to mask off portions of photos I don't fancy showing. I've created my own templates and I've got a folder in Bridge with all the elements pertaining to this project. I doing a 2 pager for each week and my week run from Mon - Sun (just to make life easier). I decided to do away with the plastic sleeve that is common with paper Project Life as I'll be printing this out in a book format and therefore, it's not necessary. I reckon I'll have at least over 100 pages by the time I finish with this project! So if anyone sees me trigger happy with my iPhone, you now know why!!! TTFN!

Hi, I clicked through from DebbieHodge.com. Love your approach - I was thinking of going digital for PL next year as the albums take up so much space (especially in a Victorian Terrace). I'm alarmed to see that a square format isn't feasible. Can I ask - how did you make your own templates (was it difficult?) and which photo book printers havve you tried? Thanks! Jenny
