~ Traci Reed Designs: Little Joys ~

Traci brought out a new kit called Little Joys, available at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Here's my page done with this kit:

Once in a while, I like to try something different on my page. So I went for Project Life style with journaling cards and then lots of layering on top of them. I would say this is as traditional as I can get in terms of scrapbooking! Photo was taken in 2009. My boys were so little then. TTFN!

~ Val C Designs & Erica Zwart: Emotions ~

Val & Erica came up with a collaboration kit entitled 'Emotions', available at Oscraps. I'm loving Val's kits as it so suits my style of scrapping.

Here's my page:

My wee one together with another classmate created this 'wonder' of the world, Chichen Itza. His class held a Travel Fayre for parents to see what they have done. Have to say, I'm impressed with the way the school curriculum is going. It certainly does engage the children in learning by keeping them busy with projects. He even created a brochure to go along with his project. TTFN!

This week we are sponsored by Stamping Up. I received a set of papers and embellishments to play with. Today's challenge is Fancy Folds, ensure there is some kind of fold in the card. Here's mine:

I found the instructions for folding this particular flower on the internet. The double sided paper certainly came in handy. TTFN!

~ Chronicles 52 ~

My version of Project Life. I know the name has been so liberally used to denote documentation of every day, 52 weeks of life etc. It has appeared on kits and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon creating paper & elements for use in documenting Project Life. Well, this year, I decided to take part, digitally of course! However, I wanted to call it something different (just in case the name Project Life gets patent!) I went with Chronicle as it has a nice ring to it! After checking out the printing cost in the UK, it appears doing it in a square format wouldn't be feasible... it would be far too expensive to print. Square pages aren't common or popular here and you don't get as much discount as printing in A4 format. So with that in mind, I started doing mine in A4 landscape format. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I started out slow and have got a few weeks to catch up. This project has certainly made me remember to take a photo a day if possible. However, I'm not fussed if I didn't as there are days whereby I may have more than one photo to display! Without further ado, here goes...

Now that I've started, I feel compelled to continue and finish. Saying that, I still have my Dec Daily album to complete as well as my Art Journal Caravan too. Yup, got way too many projects ongoing but  that will keep me busy!

For this project, I'll be using lots of journaling cards as well as brushes to mask off portions of photos I don't fancy showing. I've created my own templates and I've got a folder in Bridge with all the elements pertaining to this project. I doing a 2 pager for each week and my week run from Mon - Sun (just to make life easier). I decided to do away with the plastic sleeve that is common with paper Project Life as I'll be printing this out in a book format and therefore, it's not necessary. I reckon I'll have at least over 100 pages by the time I finish with this project! So if anyone sees me trigger happy with my iPhone, you now know why!!! TTFN!
