I went for the Shakespeare's theme and here's my art journal:

Today marks the last day of May! Gosh, time has flown rather quickly. Nearly half the year has gone. The weather today was rotten! It has gone cold again. The bane of British weather.

Woke up this morning to a surprising email! Talk about an instant alarm clock! Well, more will be revealed later......TTFN!

~ 365 Cards: Day 90 ~

~ On Display: Art Journaling ~

As the sun shone, we made full use of it. Hence, didn't touch my Mac at all! Not often you get such glorious weather in the UK and as the saying goes... make hay while the sun shines!

Anyway, recevied a Deviant Scrap newsletter and did a bit of shopping! Bought 3 art journaling kits and had a play tonight. 

The first by Finecrafted Designs called Stylish Attractions. Absolutely loved the elements in there. Here's my effort:

The second kit is by Rucola Designs called Don't Panic. Here elements were based on science fiction characters of Douglas Adams, notably, The 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' so quite a lot of cute stuff! Here's what I did:

Finally, the last kit is by Crowabout StudioB, called Pods. Not a new one but she had 20% off today and that was on my wish list. Here's my art journaling:

~ Mr Whiskers: Forrest Stump Toon Invasion ~

Had fun playing with this kit. I did mix it up with Forrest Stump and Special Effects, all by Mr Whiskers. Also added Cool and Warm Glows by Anna Aspnes. TTFN!

Anna came up with a set of new kits together. The ArtPlay Palette Bicycle is absolutely superb! I've got lots of photos of the kids on bicycles and this kit will be simply perfect! As usual, I got the set of kits she has on offer:

The eldest is having cooking lessons in school and he loves it! That day he made fajitas and it was delicious!

Saw this kit by Ju Kniepp and couldn't resist getting it... Always Spring.

The weather today was brilliant! Sunny and warm. Not surprising, the wee one wanted to cycle to school and we did. When we got home, the boys had a water balloon fight in the garden. Well, it's been so long since they went into the garden so they had their water fun. Let's hope we get more such weather please! TTFN!

Today's challenge is entitled 'Opposite Attracts'. Basically two opposing elements on the card. Well, I went for colour... black and white. Here's my card:

Kept the card as generic as possible... never known when such card might come in handy! TTFN!

~ Pink Reptile Designs: Rain Or Shine ~

PRD and Stolen Moments Designs came out with a new collaboration kit entitled 'Rain or Shine', available at Zig Zag Scrap. 

With the kind of weather we are having at the moment in the UK, this kit couldn't have come at the most appropriate time. Here's my LO:

We had hail a few days ago, in mid-May!

On the mundane side, my boys are off to Scouts/Cubs camp this evening. It started to drizzle when we got there and the poor souls had to build their own tents (parents weren't allowed to help). Let's hope they will somehow get some outdoor enjoyment despite the rain! As for hubs & moi, we headed off for an Indian meal before watching the Avengers. Great movie! Nice to be able to go out without worrying about the boys for once! TTFN!

Val came out with a new kit called Summer Notebook, available at Zig Zag Scrap. With the weather so cold, it's hard to think of summer at all.

Where do I start? I'm so far behind my posts but since the failure of my external hard disk containing my digi files, I have been busy rebuilding them and organising them properly. I'm just glad they are digital files as I've at least over 10 000 papers alone. Guess I'm a paper hoarder! 

Last weekend was (inter) National Scrapbooking Day (iNSD). Talk about sales galore at most of the digital sites. Not only that, there were lots of challenges, blog hops and prizes to win!
